Travis Williams is a photographer, writer, naturalist, and river advocate.

He has also been a promoter of river travel via paddle craft, especially with canoes, highlighting the benefits of human-powered river recreation and travel for anyone.

His book, the Field Guide to the Willamette River, has been published by Timber Press. The Guide provides a full account of the Willamette's River's ecological and conservation issues. The book also contains multiple new color photographs providing a great nderstanding of what can be found along the river's 200 miles.
